The King’s School Peterborough was founded by King Henry VIII in 1541 and as the city’s Cathedral School students have been singing and playing instruments within its walls ever since. And not just within its walls, because their musical activites take young performers all over the UK and far beyond. But this is a wonderful opportunity to hear Kings’ musicians strut their stuff in St Johns, the city’s oldest parish church (and currently one of its liveliest!).
Irena Radić won the title “Young Musician of the Year” at both the Peterborough and the Oundle Festivals of Music in March 2013. She will be performing at the Oundle International Festival on the 15th July. Concerts will be listed here. Irena studies piano at the Royal College of Music Junior Department with Lynette Stulting. She is also doing her A levels at The Kings School and will continue her studies as an undergraduate at the Royal College of Music next year.
