Most people are directed to the public gallery which is up a couple of flights of stairs and is no use to anyone in a wheelchair: no room even if they could get up into it. The public gallery can be accessed by people who can climb stairs providing they can find the door. The door is in Bridge Street and if you find the main portico and step left left left you will find an unassuming door in the wall sign posted “Pubilc Gallery”. Open it and start climbing. Arrive early if you want an agenda: there are rarely enough for everyone. When I visited last night the stair case light kept going out as I climbed four flights of stairs. And there is a new door at the very top of the staircase, which is not sign posted. Just go through it and the old door is on your right.
